Studio Operations, Studio Manager – Printmedia department, Sept 2021 – Present
Organize and maintain the Printmedia studios. Implement studio practices based on curriculum needs. Control and track a $20,000 annual budget. Hire, train, and manage a team of 5-10 workstudy students per semester. Instill studio best practices, including training faculty and students on equipment. Create layout of equipment and workflow for interim and final spaces. Over three years, packed and moved the department twice.
Instructor – Textiles & Printmaking YASP Summer Class July 2025
Teach relief, collage, and screenprint techniques to middle school students over a one-week session. Students printed a bandana from their carved relief stamps, designed and screenprinted a two-color tote-bag design, and created collaged books.
Instructor – Summer Atelier June 2023
Teach Screenprint to high school students over a one-week session. Students completed multiple two-color projects while learning photo emulsion and autographic techniques to create separations.
San Francisco Center for the Book
Instructor – Sept 2018 – Present
Build and teach two classes: Introduction to the Risograph and Risograph Project Lab. Introduction teaches students how to use the Risograph machine, while they create a 2-color 11″ x 17″ poster. Project Lab allows students a day-long workshop to work on their own project, most commonly a zine or series of postcards.
In 2025, the Risograph Certificate Class was designed and implemented, to certify students to rent time on the machine alone. During the Certificate Class the printing on the machine is reviewed, students learn Spectrolite software and then must pass a technical test.
Academy of Art University
Instructor – Printmaking Department June ’11 – May ’24
Teach Screenprint, Monotype, Book Arts, and Introductory Printmaking class. Onsite and online teacher; re-build online classes, including video demonstrations. Build and run a new class “Zines: Reproduction Techniques for Communication and Expression”.
Studio Manager – Printmaking Department July ’06 – June ’11
Manage the studio facilities. Order supplies and balance budgets. Hire, train, and oversee work-study helpers. Revise studio supply allocation to classes. Design the posters to market classes and events, and create informational signage for classrooms. Teach Workshops, Art Experience (High School summer program), introductory level Printmaking and Screenprint classes.

Fixated Press ‘19 – Present
Independent press creating zines, artist books, and Risograph prints. Available on Etsy and through Quimby’s. Original and collaborative content often focused on cats, other animals, and food-related travel.
Fixed Orifice Press ‘06 – ’19
Small-run press that sells handmade journals, prints, postcards and t-shirts. Design, silkscreen, bind, letterpress and relief print all items as well as shoot photography for projects and marketing use. Fixed Orifice Press sold at Maker Fair in 2007, Rose and Radish in Hayes Valley and The Lab in the Mission.
Decease ’04 – ‘05
A ‘zine about “the culture of death” which was created, curated, edited and designed by Meri Brin. Decease debuted at APE in San Francisco and was sold online and in a few small boutique stores across the U.S.
Goodbye Doggy ’01 – ‘05
An art and music project with an interactive website that includes songs, a text adventure game, handmade products, a comic strip and fortune teller. Conceived the initial character and logo, played bass and keyboards on the music, created illustrations and graphics for the website, implemented and managed online sales.
