Researched photography for print magazine and accompanying website. Acquired
images, researched photographers and illustrators,
assigned freelance projects. Logged and tracked artwork, scanned and resized

Managed freelance publicists and facilitated publicity campaigns. Wrote
press releases and sales presentations. Scheduled author interviews. Maintained
vendor relationships. Proofread layouts. Managed shipping process for
domestic and foreign distributors. Facilitated bi-annual royalty statements
and payments to authors. Conducted research and wrote contributing essays
for books and website including Reality Check (HardWired). Collaborated
with editorial team on book conceptualization. Solicited, read, and analyzed
book proposals. Negotiated reprint, photography and text permissions.
Oversaw author contracts. Facilitated the conception and initial design
of web site and provided site copy.
Projects
Fixed Orifice Press ‘06 - Present
My small-run press that sells handmade journals, prints, postcards and
t-shirts. I design, silkscreen, bind, letterpress and relief print all
items as well as shoot photography for projects and marketing use. Fixed
Orifice Press sold at Maker Fair in 2007, Rose and Radish in Hayes Valley
and The Lab in the Mission.
Decease
’04 - ‘05
A ‘zine about “the culture of death” which I created,
curated, edited and designed. Decease debuted at APE in San Francisco
and was sold online and in a few small boutique stores across the U.S.
Goodbye
Doggy ’01 - ‘05
An art and music project with an interactive website that includes songs,
a text adventure game, handmade products, a comic strip and fortune teller.
I conceived of the initial character and logo, played bass and keyboards
on the music, created illustrations and graphics for the website, implemented
and managed online sales.
